Cyndia was so knowledgeable and was tremendously willing to help any students with any questions. She was extremely helpful!
She added a lot of real–world applications which made the topics much more interesting.
Step–by–step explanations and examples in the class notes were very helpful! I also enjoyed the real–life application/considerations you brought up as it helped make the learning feel more important/helped me understand why the content was important or where it would be used.
Because of Cyndia, I've become very interested in accounting. Her interest in the course and students is very contagious.
The professor taught this course in an engaging and fun way which made learning more enjoyable.
Content is well prepared, taught, and explained. Instructor shows genuine care for students (creating nametags, remembering students' names), very understanding, makes students motivated to learn.
Loads of examples in class, both numerical and real life. Professor is genuinely concerned with our learning process and wants us to succeed. Loads of practicing material.
She explained the difficult concepts really well and went over multiple variations of similar problems until we understood the core concept that was being taught.
Things were explained step by step, and there was lots of review/emphasis on important sections. There were connections to real life situations/application which I found helpful.
I think you were very open with your students, understanding of your students and I could really tell how much you cared about your students. You made learning a rather boring course very enjoyable and I have started to gain an actual interest in accounting because of you and how you taught the course. I can confidently say that you have been the best professor I have had at Sauder so far and it's due to how passionate you were in seeing your students succeed.
Professor Wang is a very supportive instructor and genuinely cares about providing resources for the students to grasp an understanding of the course material. Early on in the term, the class provided feedback for our professor and she took proactive and effective steps to help improve the learning process for each individual student. A brief review of the last class along with connections between the classes, learning objectives for the current class, applications, and brief summaries were provided for each class. This helped me as a student stay on track with the course flow and continuously review the material, allowing for greater understanding. I am very appreciative of Professor Wang and the measures she has taken to help us learn this intermediate course. It was truly a pleasure.
As someone who struggled with 293, the way this course was delivered was a breath of fresh air. Going over problems together in class was the biggest contributing factor to me understanding concepts.
Super sweet and encouraging, which really fosters my learning and ability to ask questions/want to grow; super in–depth notes that really EXPLAIN the content, making lectures so so beneficial; great at answering questions and providing help before the exams.
Overall, COMM 294 was a fun experience. I think that the material I learned in this class will definitely be applicable for the future. Cyndia is such a sweet professor, and I really did enjoy my time in this class with her!
